Tomoko Sue

Tomoko Sue’s works are Japanese paintings on hemp paper painted with mineral pigments. She senses the presence of the gods in the great outdoors, and paints images of the mystique and the fundamental connection between nature and mankind. In recent years, he has applied the momigami technique of Japanese painting to depict images of the remote Okinawan island of Kutaka, known as the "Island of the Gods. The image of Hisaka Island, where the entire island is considered sacred, is depicted as if the island is created in beautiful blue colors.
