Tomoko Sue′s works are painted with rock paints, using the sea and sky as motifs. Her works are characterized by the beauty of color. The unique beauty of iwa-enogu in Japanese painting stands out. The artist is so in love with the beauty of iwa-enogu that he chose to major in Japanese painting at an art college because of its beauty. Iwa-enogu is extremely difficult to handle and requires skill and subtlety of expression to create beautiful images. Tomoko Sue paints each of her works with the technique she has mastered over the past 20 years and with her delicate sensitivity and expressive ability. The beauty of the colors in her works cannot be fully conveyed in photographs or other media. Although there are various mediums and ways of showing and communicating artworks are becoming more and more diverse, the great appeal and characteristic of paintings is that you can feel the emotion, charm, and power of the work when you put yourself in front of it. Tomoko Sue′s works are truly works that can only be expressed through painting. We invite you to view Tomoko Sue’s works, which are filled with stunningly beautiful colors, at our gallery in Hakusan.
