My work is of Kudaka Island, a remote island in Okinawa known as the "Island of the Gods". In mythology, Kudaka Island is where the founder of Ryukyu first landed. In Okinawa, on the ocean floor past the eastern sea lies the "Nirai Kanai". When I look at the sea and sky of Kudaka Island, my heart resonates with it, and I strangely feel like my existence is melting into the nature of Kudaka Island. I seek to depict this in my work.
