On a cold winter day, I noticed that the grass by the railroad tracks was noisy, and upon closer inspection, I noticed a flock of sparrows pecking at the ears of silver grass.
The fluffy ears of awn and dead grass, and the birds flitting about rhythmically, kept the rustling autumn grass shaking forever.
The silvergrass and dead grass were painted like a pattern and printed with ink mixed with gold dust in medium, and the little birds were prominently represented in the margins of the paper.”

Concept of Artwork
The motifs I depict are the small joys I encounter while observing nature around me. Using a silkscreen, I slowly build up the image through repeated plate-making and printing, and the small joys I felt take on images and reappear as new landscapes. It is a very personal and small thing to be able to love the creatures and nature around us, but to be able to notice this is a very happy thing. I paint pictures and make things while searching for what the richness of life means to me.
