On a vivid green background, this piece shows an alien commenting (or perhaps thinking?) about human society’s issues, creating a cynical and distinctly Chris Johanson work.
How about a witty piece from the younger days of Chris Johanson, who has now become such a prominent artist that Phaidon published an art book about him?
Signed.

ABOUT Chris Johanson

Chris grew up in California with skateboarding and punk rock, and began his career as an artist by painting graffiti and skateboarding. He moved to San Francisco and became a central figure in the Mission District Movement, an art movement that he co-founded with Barry McGee.
His unique and witty worldview, which he draws on discarded street lumber, is now beginning to make its major debut in the art world, with a solo exhibition at MOCA, the largest contemporary art museum on the West Coast, and there is no doubt that he is one to watch.
