ABOUT Yutaka Bito

After World War II, he participated in the Avant-Garde Art Association and the Young Artists’ Union exhibitions.
Inspired by military base issues, he created works that deformed the human form and became one of the pioneers of "reportage painting" that exposed social problems.
Since the 1980s, his works have frequently been featured in retrospective exhibitions of post-war art at various museums, serving as a testament to the era.
