ABOUT Kazuo Shiraga
Born in 1924 in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, and passed away in 2008,
he participated in the Gutai Art Association (1954–1972), which was at the forefront of avant-garde art in post-war Japan.
Known for his foot painting, where he used his feet to create art, he has recently gained renewed attention.
