offset lithograph ED500

Frame:37.2×48.2cm
Hiroshi Sugimoto’s "Seascape" series is particularly popular among his works. He poses the question, "Is it possible for modern humans to see the same landscapes as ancient people?" and has relentlessly captured "seascapes" around the world in search of the answer. The horizon divides the sea and sky, creating a world split between black and white, making this series a hallmark of Sugimoto’s artistry. This piece comes from the limited edition of 500 copies of "Time Exposed" (Kyoto Shoin, 1991), featuring 50 works from the "Seascape" series, with the title and piece number embossed at the bottom.
