WALLS TOKYO is pleased to present Gaku Kakizaki Solo Exhibition “Komorebi  Where the Light Is”, on view from November 13 to December 13, 2025.

Kakizaki majored in oil painting at Musashino Art University, completing his master’s degree in 2012. Using delicate touches with a palette knife, he paints mainly oils depicting familiar landscapes and still lifes. This exhibition focuses on “Komorebi,” a uniquely Japanese word that refers to the sunlight filtering through trees, and will showcase approximately 15 new works, which will also be available for purchase.
