Ukiyo-e was a popular art form that developed during the Edo period.

Ukiyo-e prints were a popular art form that captured the world's manners and customs as if photographing them and disseminated them through printing, but today, photography has taken over this role.

Ukiyo-e prints and photography share many similarities, and this exhibition will examine the novelty of their perspectives and the wonder of their compositions while confirming the similarities between the two.

 

Walls Tokyo will exhibit and sell selected works from the collection under the title "Adventures in Vision : Ukiyo-e and Photography".
