About

Barry McGee

Barry McGee (also known as Twist and Ray Von) is a legendary graffiti artist and one of the few artists today who embodies the "street to museum" movement. While his work has been highly acclaimed on the art scene, with solo exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (1998), numerous museums, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Boston (2013), he also continues to work on the streets, where he began, and is a singular artist who lives in both commercial and non-commercial spaces.
