Born in Brighton, England. From an early age, his parents taught him to make things with his own hands and with the natural world around him, laying the foundation for his own style and interest in the natural world and natural science. After graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in Science and Natural History Painting, he went on to complete an MA in Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. He also studied Forensic Rehabilitation at Cambridge University and History of Medicine at the Open University. He has used this experience to design costumes for operas, video game characters, album covers, medical museums, public art spaces, and most recently, pseudo-body parts for trainee surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons in England. He is currently based in London and Tokyo, working freelance on design projects and solo exhibitions.
